(Shopping in hollywood) Long Distance Rate - Online Shopping Article

Long distance calling has advanced since the invention of the phone. Quality and prices were once issues of grave importance just even 10 years ago. When you used to phone long distance you had to worry about paying 25 cents or more per minute, being charged in big chunk increments, static and echo quality problems, and this was with the top telecom providers! We have come a long way since then.
Today, we have access to an unlimited variety of calling services, all with quality features that easily contend with any phone services of the yesteryear. Now you can telephone long distance from almost anywhere to converse and not have to worry about minutes or quality troubles. If you aren’t using these pre-existing solutions for long distance service, then you should read on to find out what the services are and how you can save on or even get free long distance.
1.Many seek long distance cheap in pricing, but how about free? One service provides you just that. The technology is called Skype and allows you to use your computer and computer microphone to call other Skype subscribers online for free. This technology is a form of VoIP, but better known as a soft phone. Many international businesses and subscribers are using Skype to not only save on long distance calls, but to get them entirely free.
2.Because I brought up VoIP previously, I will stay on the subject. VoIP is the newest, but not entirely a new technology. VoIP has allowed the ability for consumers and enterprises to enjoy unlimited long distance access for one flat monthly price, saving people untold amounts on their long distance phone service. I in fact use VoIP myself and enjoy the quality of my calls, but even more, the price.
3.Prepaid phone cards. Whether it is long distance international calling or USA domestic, prepaid phone cards really give a lot for less. If you are ever in a jam, it’s great to know you have one of these puppies around. Many providers offer long distance cards for under 1 cent per minute domestic and even 1 cent per minute for many international long distance calling destinations.
4.Cell phones. Yes, phone long distance for the same price you would for local, it is something people are just used to now. Cell phone long distance is something so common now, users don’t even think about the word long distance. They know they have either their flat rate or unlimited calling plan, and never sweat any of it.
As you now know, there are multiple ways to save on long distance without having to search far and wide, it just depends on what technology you are wanting to adopt and which services you are needing.

Will You Be Using Ebay This Year?
By Shawn Wilson
With the growing uncertainty in the global markets most of us will be spending less this year during the holidays. The question is are you going to buy less, buy used or find discount retailers to buy from instead of boutique shops?
Spending less is probably the easiest way to go, explaining to your kids why they received less than Timmy down the road is never easy but an essential life lesson. We all have a great excuse this year to spend less money and quite frankly consume less. The Christmas holidays create a massive amount of waste, first the wrapping paper, the boxes the products come in and the fact that your child will find his new toy boring and never play with it again after about 3 months. Spending less is not only good for your pocket book it’s great for environment.
The next option you have is buying used and while this doesn’t always appeal to everyone sites like Ebay have a plethora of great used goods that can easily be passed off as new. Passing things off as new to anyone under the age of 5 will be easy, giving your pre teen another great life lesson is what we call priceless. This is yet another example of how we can save money, reduce our overall consumption and teach ourselves and our children a valuable lesson. I think I just convinced myself to buy used products this year!
Now onto the discount retailers and let’s face it most of us already spend a fare bit of time and money at discount retailers because of the price and usually nothing more. There is nothing convenient about the lack of service these large retailers offer nor the huge lineups at the cash. I firmly believe if you have to wait more than 10 minutes to pay for something and it’s directly related to a lack of staff you should legally be allowed to steal the products in your cart. Anyways the sad part is there are fewer boutique retailers out there so you will most likely be purchasing some of the holiday gift items from a big box store anyways.
Here is how you can avoid all of this and stay within the comfort of your own home. Use an online retailer like Ebay. With any online auction site you have the ability to save money on new products much like a big box discount retailer. You can also find all of the used products on your list in one place. I myself will be using online retailers this year for many reasons including the ones listed above.
The one thing about this time of the year that literally gives me the shakes is how busy the shopping malls get. I hate shopping malls on a Tuesday in the middle of January, two weeks before December 25th to me it’s like the plague I avoid it at all costs. I love my fellow man, I don’t however love anything in multiples of 10,000 unless we’re talking about the positive balance in my bank account.
My big tip for this year’s holidays is, buy online! You can do more research, budget better, save lots of money and maybe teach yourself and your family a fantastic life lesson. Happy Holidays!

Do You Know What Your Woman Wants This Christmas?
By Hannah Jennings
Something happens to men when they enter a mall. Women become invigorated and love the thrill of the hunt. Men on the other hand would rather walk in with a specific store list, map, and the nearest escape route (preferably to a bar). Otherwise, they can begin to feel their testicles shrivel, mouth become dry, and hyperventilation set in. It isn’t fair and there is just too much stuff!
Women, if you want something, write it down on a list, and stick the list in his wallet. Keep it to five things - maximum. Write the price range, and best store to purchase the item at. Let him know about the list and update it regularly. Include in the list your favorite color, flower, and clothing size you wear (the actual size, not like your drivers license weight.)
If you don’t have a list to go on, I have five options that should work for about 80% of women. Oh, and as a note, we consider gift cards cheating unless we specifically request them. I don’t care what the commercials say. That isn’t what we want. Also, clothing is completely off limits unless we have sent you in for a specific item, in a specific color and specific size. We have to try on an item and see how it, and the two sizes above and below, fit. Trust me, you don’t know us that well.
The first sure-fire gift is a bouquet of flowers that tells us you have planned dinner out complete with babysitting (for those that have kids) and coffee after. There isn’t much a romantic dinner can’t solve. We like to know that you have thought about the elements of a night out. If you have it to splurge, then a night at a great hotel is more than likely to end very well.
The next super great gift is several spa items. Bath salts, scented (or unscented if she has allergies) candles, and a warm soft robe are all items that say, “I want to take care of you.” They are all going to be well received and can be tailored to fit any women’s tastes and interests. For example, there is organic cotton, all the way to fine Egyptian cotton robes. Find the one that best suites your budget.
Still thinking, not quite what you had in mind. Then look to her sweet side. Most women can be wooed with splendid chocolates and gourmet coffee. It is a gift that will last every morning (at least for a while) that spoils her senses. Better yet, give her the gift of a coffee club membership to treat her for a full year. Most on-line gourmet coffee retailers offer this option. If you don’t know what she likes, then purchase a few different coffees to let her try. One stipulation, do not get any version of canned coffee or “store bought” chocolate. The chocolate must be in a box, or don’t bother.
Almost every woman could use a couple of good pens and a planner. It is very frustrating to hunt through you purse and not have a pen. Even more frustrating is to hunt for a pen, then find one that doesn’t work. Good choices are Pentel R.S.V.P, and Pilot G-2. They are relatively inexpensive and work until the ink is gone. All planners serve the same purpose, so get one that fits her schedule and interests (you can find everything from pretty pink leather to all recycled components and every thing in between).
For the green thumb gal, then a potted plant is a nice choice. Flowers like African Violets, and miniature roses both bloom year around and require minimal upkeep. They make a pretty decoration and most importantly will remind her that you are thinking of her. (It is like a bouquet that keeps on growing).
Men, don’t be afraid to ask a women what she wants. We all know what we want. We just need to know how much you are willing to spend. Any of the above mentioned ideas may be catered to fit almost any women at any point in her life. Women want to be pampered and adored. We want gifts that reflect our style, and not yours. If all else fails, then a framed picture of the two of you will be enough to get you through this holiday.
